Is Chapter really free for families?
Yes — and it always will be. Communities pay us a flat monthly subscription for their listing and tools, so we never need to charge you or sell your information to make money.
Will I get flooded with sales calls?
No. You can browse and compare anonymously. A community only receives your name and contact details when you choose to book a tour or send a message. We never sell or share your information with anyone else — that's the whole point.
Do you only show communities that pay you?
No. We list every licensed community in an area, including ones that pay us nothing, and we rank results by how well they fit your needs — never by who pays. A complete, honest map is what makes Chapter trustworthy.
Where does your pricing come from?
Communities publish and verify their own base rent, care add-ons, and fees, with a 'verified as of' date. Regulatory details like licensing and capacity come from public state and CMS records.
How is this different from referral sites?
Referral sites are free to you because facilities pay them a fee of 90–120% of your first month's rent when you move in. That fee is why a single inquiry gets sold to many communities and your phone rings for weeks. Chapter's flat-subscription model removes that incentive entirely.
